- I began to plan out the design of the bench based on the materials around my house. I then came up with a design of using 2'4 planks to frame a 2`8 boards standing on 4`4 legs.
- I began to collect wood from around my house and measured appropriate sizes for the planks and the boards.
- (With the help of my dad) we then cut the boards to the appropriate sizes and laid them out to look like the bench.
- We then drilled holes in the planks to put screws in on the 2`8 board
- We screwed the planks onto the frame. We had some difficulty with the screws so we also added regular nails to help support the screws.
- We drilled the legs on and screwed metal braces to legs and board.we tested the bench and found it very wobbly so we added small wood bits on one of the legs to stabilize the bench.
- I then painted the wood finisher and let the bench dry overnight.
Here are pictures of the things I used and other stuff
Above: Me painting the bench
Left: Letting the paint dry
The common nails I used when the screws decided to stop working.
I used two different sized screws
For the wooden pieces used to make the bench less wobbly.
I used this for the legs.
I used this for the main board.
